Little Girl Takes Intense Boat Flume Splash Straight To The Face

In get pitted — so pitted news, this is a short video from simpler times of a little girl at California’s Great America amusement park in Santa Clara who insisted on getting splashed by the Whitewater Falls boat ride, and her dad finally letting her. That’ll clean your eyes out! Man…I remember one summer in high school I had a season pass to the nearby Six Flags and log flume water was like all I drank. Why pay $6 for a Coke, you know? Plus I think whatever they put in it to prevent the mosquitos from breeding is what’s made me immune to all disease. Except the kissing disease. “Mono doesn’t mean you’re gonna get kissed all the time, it’s nicknamed that because it’s spread through saliva.” Ewww never mind then.

Keep going for the full video complete with audio and not even crying about it like I would have.

In This Exclusive Sonic the Hedgehog Clip, the Cast Discusses the Joys of Gaming

One of the big things Sonic the Hedgehog had going for it that video game movies often do not was a cast that clearly grew up loving the characters and franchise they were now a part of. That, in theory, made it easier to act through a movie with a somewhat less than thrilling plot (though fun all the same.)

Zoom Meetings Aren't End-to-End Encrypted, Despite Misleading Marketing

An anonymous reader shares a report: Zoom, the video conferencing service whose use has spiked amid the Covid-19 pandemic, claims to implement end-to-end encryption, widely understood as the most private form of internet communication, protecting conversations from all outside parties. In fact, Zoom is using its own definition of the term, one that lets Zoom itself access unencrypted video and audio from meetings. With millions of people around the world working from home in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus, business is booming for Zoom, bringing more attention on the company and its privacy practices, including a policy, later updated, that seemed to give the company permission to mine messages and files shared during meetings for the purpose of ad targeting.

Still, Zoom offers reliability, ease of use, and at least one very important security assurance: As long as you make sure everyone in a Zoom meeting connects using “computer audio” instead of calling in on a phone, the meeting is secured with end-to-end encryption, at least according to Zoom’s website, its security white paper, and the user interface within the app. But despite this misleading marketing, the service actually does not support end-to-end encryption for video and audio content, at least as the term is commonly understood. Instead it offers what is usually called transport encryption. Further reading: Regarding Zoom.

Amazon has fired an employee after he helped organize a walkout of Amazon workers at a fulfillment center in Staten Island, New York. The worker, Chris Smalls, says Amazon was retaliating against him for his workplace activism.

“Taking action cost me my job,” Smalls said in a Monday interview on Bloomberg TV. “Because I tried to stand up for something that’s right, the company decided to retaliate against me.”

Amazon disputes that charge.
