Little Girl Rocks Incredible Hulk Mask To Wedding Reception

This is a short video of a little girl who decided an Incredible Hulk mask would be the perfect accessory to the flowery dress she wore to a wedding. And I couldn’t agree more — if only she’d been able to dress everyone else at the wedding maybe that reception wouldn’t look like such a stick in the mud. I wish she’d been at my wedding, but she wasn’t. You know who else wasn’t there? “Your fiancé?” She always complained about being cold all the time, I should have known it would happen.

Keep going for a longer gif version.

A Mario Master Coached Me On The Hardest Mario Technique

I’ve been playing Super Mario games since the first Super Mario Bros. came out on the NES. I think I’m pretty good at them. However, whenever I see masters like GrandPOOBear playing demonically difficult Super Mario Maker courses, I question the richness of my childhood. In the interest of officially kicking off my…

Why You Should Wait to Buy the Samsung Galaxy Fold

I’m slightly more excited to see a Samsung Galaxy Fold, now that the manufacturer has fixed all the issues with the initial batch of review units the company sent out this spring. The biggest of these was the thin protective layer of polymer, which initially looked like the kind of screen protector you’d peel off of…

Poll: Two in Five Americans Still Believe God Created Humans 10,000 Years Ago

A new Gallup poll shows that 40 percent of American adults comply to a strict view of creationism, in which God brought humans into existence within the last 10,000 years. More encouragingly, a record number of Americans now say God had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Trump Says US To Hit France With 'Substantial' Action For Digital Tax

President Donald Trump said today the U.S. would hit France shortly with a “substantial reciprocal action” after Paris announced a tax aimed at U.S. technology companies. He said: “If anybody taxes them, it should be their home country, the USA. British security expert and onetime malware developer Marcus Hutchins has been sentenced to time served, he announced in a Friday tweet.

Hutchins became famous in the security world in 2017 after he inadvertently stopped the WannaCry malware outbreak by registering a domain name that served as a kill switch for the sophisticated malware. Yet Hutchins, now in his mid-20s, had a dark past, having developed banking malware earlier in his life. At the time of his WannaCry efforts, Hutchins was already under investigation by US authorities for creating two banking trojans in the early 2010s.

Hutchins was arrested in August 2017 during a visit to the United States. He initially denied any role in developing malware. However, during his detention, federal prosecutors intercepted phone conversations in which he reportedly made incriminating statements. Under pressure from the authorities, Hutchins eventually came clean, admitting to his role in developing the malware. He took a plea deal in April.

[$] Completing the pidfd API

Over the last few kernel releases, the kernel has gained the concept of a
“pidfd” — a file descriptor that represents a process. What started as a
way of sending signals to processes without race conditions has evolved
into a more complete process-management interface. Now one of the last
pieces is being put into place: the ability to wait for processes using
pidfds. But, naturally, that API has had to go through some revisions
first.

Magician Double Fools Penn And Teller With Ring Trick On 'Fool Us'

penn-and-teller-fooled.jpg

This is a video from Penn and Teller’s ‘Fool Us’, in which contestants attempt to stump the duo with how they’ve performed a magic trick. In this case, magician Adrián Carratalá performs an impressive disappearing and reappearing ring trick, and has already anticipated how Penn and Teller will guess he executed the trick for a BONUS FOOL. Why they guessed what they did is beyond me, because I thought the trick was obvious — the woman he chose from the audience wasn’t just any random lady, she was a plant, and he had two of the same ring. I mean does that even look like a regular audience member to you? Because I’ve been in my fair share of audiences, and they did not look like that lady. She looks too put together. Real audience members look like the kind of truck you’d see on cinderblocks in an overgrown lot.

Keep going for the whole video.

The New Series From Rick and Morty's Justin Roiland Looks Like Something Fans Will Adore

It’s called Solar Opposites, it’s going to be on Hulu, and it doesn’t feature any characters who happen to be the smartest people in the universe. But the art style and the sly, snarky sense of humor definitely echo Rick and Morty, which means Solar Opposites should have zero trouble finding an audience when it debuts…

T-Mobile Wins $26.5B Sprint Deal Approval With Plan To Create Rival

The Justice Department approved T-Mobile’s acquisition of Sprint, a deal it rejected under the previous administration, clearing one of the biggest hurdles to a takeover that will reshape the wireless industry. From a report: T-Mobile and Sprint agreed to sell multiple assets to Dish Network as a condition for approval, paving the way to creating a new wireless company, the Justice Department said in a statement Friday. The carriers have promised to deploy a 5G network that would cover 97% of the U.S. population within three years and 99% within six years. “The remedies set up Dish as a disruptive force in wireless,” said Makan Delrahim, the head of the Justice Department’s antitrust division, during a briefing with reporters.
