Amazon Black Friday deals: Get a free Samsung SmartTag when you buy a Galaxy Watch 6

Amazon has discounted one of the best smartwatches you can buy right now to a new all-time low price. Until the end of the weekend, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is 24 percent off. That means the wearable now starts at $230, down from $300. Included in the sale are the gold and graphite colorways. Other color options are sold out, and sizing is limited to 40mm and 44mm.

However, if you’re set on a wearable with mobile connectivity, the LTE model is also on sale and starts at $270, down from $380. One other thing to note is the regular Galaxy Watch 6 does not feature the rotating bezel found on the Classic model. That variant is currently sold out on Amazon. To sweeten the entire deal, Amazon is throwing in a complimentary Samsung SmartTag 2. The lost item tracker is normally priced at $30.

The Galaxy Watch 6 is one of Engadget’s favorite smartwatches. Before the arrival of the Pixel Watch, Samsung consistently offered the best Android Wear watches on the market. And even though there’s more competition in the category now, the Galaxy Watch is still a great option for those looking for a dependable fitness and health tracker.

New to the Galaxy Watch 6 is a more vibrant, higher-resolution always-on display capable of reaching a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Additionally, the refreshed screen is 20 percent larger than the one found on its predecessor. To power the Galaxy Watch 6’s brighter screen, Samsung equipped the device with a larger battery. According to the company, it’s possible to get up to 30 hours of use from the Galaxy Watch 6 with the always-on display turned on – though your mileage will vary depending on how you use the wearable. Inside, there’s also a more powerful processor.

On the software front, the Galaxy Watch 6 comes with more robust sleep-tracking and insights. The company also added an irregular heart rhythm monitoring feature that will alert you if it detects anomalies in your cardio patterns. Separately, the Galaxy Watch 6 can keep track of ovulation and menstrual cycles. If you own a recent Galaxy Watch device, the latest model doesn’t offer enough to upgrade. For everyone else, $229 is a compelling price for one of the best smartwatches out there.

The best robot vacuum deals for Black Friday 2023: We found deals on Shark, Roomba and Anker machines to fit every budget

It’s no secret that robot vacuums are some of the most expensive gadgets you can get for your home. But Black Friday robot vacuum deals make it a bit easier to grab one, and this year is no different. A handful of machines from Shark and iRobot have dropped to record low prices for Black Friday, including a few of our favorite models. You can snag a Roomba for as low as $159, which is one of the best prices we’ve seen all year.

But before making a purchase, we recommend thinking about the type of home you have and how you’ll use the machine: do you have carpet or mostly hard flooring? Do you have pets who shed constantly? Do you want a combo vacuum-and-mop machine? Once you have those details settled, check out the best deals on robot vacuums for Black Friday 2023 below.

iRobot Roomba 694

The Roomba 694 is on sale for $159 in this Black Friday vacuum deal. It’s our current favorite budget robot vacuum thanks to its strong suction power, easy to use mobile app and handy spot-clean function. It doesn’t come with a clean base, but it has Wi-Fi connectivity and voice control with Alexa.

Anker Eufy RoboVac 11S Max

As part of Anker’s Black Friday deals, the Eufy RoboVac 11S Max is down to $140, but a clippable $10 coupon will bring it down to $130. That’s close to a record low and a steal on one of the best affordable robot vacuums we’ve tested. This model has a super slim design, helping it clean underneath tables, couches and other furniture better than competing machines, and it has a solid battery life as well. It’s not Wi-Fi connected, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It comes with a handy remote with which you can control the machine, making it a decent option for anyone who’s never owned a robot vacuum before.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The Roomba s9+ is the most powerful model that iRobot makes, and it’s down to $600 in this Black Friday vacuum deal. It’s usual high price tag may be prohibitive for most, but it’s a much better buy when you can get it on sale like this. We like it’s elegant design, extra-strong suction power, home mapping and object detection features, and the clean base that comes with it.

iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+ robot vacuum has dropped to $469 for Black Friday. This model comes with a self-emptying base and it has advanced obstacle detection so it can avoid things like pet poop, should your furry friend have an accident. It also supports cleaning schedules via the iRobot mobile app and voice commands from Alexa, Siri and the Google Assistant.

Shark AI Ultra robot vacuum

This Shark AI Ultra robot vacuum is on sale for $300 for Black Friday, or half off its regular price. Shark makes some of our favorite robovacs, and this one has strong suction power, a self-cleaning brush roll and support for home mapping and voice control with Alexa and the Google Assistant. Shark’s machines also stand out because their self-emptying bases, like the one included here, are bagless, so you don’t have to constantly buy proprietary garbage bags to use with them.

Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 vacuum and mop

Shark’s AI Ultra robot vacuum and mop has been discounted to $400 for Black Friday at Amazon and Best Buy. It has all of the same features in the vacuum-only model, but it also includes a water reservoir and a mop pad with which it can automatically mop floors for you. You have to switch out the dustbin for the reservoir whenever you want to mop, but otherwise the machine is pretty automated and convenient. The self-emptying base that comes with this model is also bagless.

The GoPro Hero 12 Black bundle with accessories is $100 off for Black Friday

You can snag the well-regarded GoPro Hero 12 Black action camera bundle via Amazon for $350 instead of $450 as part of a larger Black Friday event, representing a savings of 22 percent. This deal includes the camera itself, a carrying case, an extra battery, a head strap and a handler stick.

This is the newest action camera by the company. We enjoyed the Hero 12 in our official review, calling attention to the improved battery life when compared to last-generation, allowing for 35 minutes of continuous use. Remember, this deal comes with two rechargeable batteries, so that adds up to around 70 minutes of near-continuous use. You’ll have to perform a quick swap, but you should be able to get right back into the action.

The Hero 12 also features Bluetooth audio streaming, so you can wear wireless earbuds while hosting a vlog or when creating a live commentary video. The latency here is basically imperceptible and this technology also allows you to control the camera from afar via voice commands. In other words, you won’t have to edit out those clumsy seconds when you walk toward the camera to turn it off.

The camera includes a larger image sensor when compared to the Hero 11, for slightly improved visual clarity. You can also experiment with different aspect ratios via the same footage and the camera offers a 8:7 mode across every setting. Otherwise, many of the advertised metrics remain static from the last-gen, but that’s not exactly a bad thing. This deal is also available straight from the manufacturer, if Amazon isn’t your bag.

The Echo Dot is back down to its lowest price ever in this Amazon Black Friday deal

Amazon has discounted nearly all of their own devices for Black Friday. And that includes their top-selling smart speaker, the Echo Dot. It’s down to $23, which is 54 percent off the $50 list price and matches the lowest it ever sold for, back in October during the company’s second Prime Day of the year. It’s dipped down to $35 throughout 2023, so this is still a significant discount over its typical sale price. We named the Echo Dot our favorite smart speaker under $50 — and now you can get two for that price.

The Echo Dot is a little bigger than a baseball, but emits surprisingly full sound for its size. The spherical design is an upgrade from the previous generation’s puck shape, and now allows for higher-end components that make for pretty great audio. Of course, the real perk is Alexa’s help. You can use the assistant to control your smart home devices, tell you the weather, remind you to pick up the kid from school or a friend from the airport, and play you a happy song on a rainy day.

Other Amazon speakers are on sale too, including the standard Echo. It’s down to $55, which is a 45 percent discount and about $5 more than the all-time low it hit last Black Friday. This one happens to be our favorite smart speaker under $100, again beating out its direct competitors from Apple and Google thanks to its superior (and just louder) sound. And again, Alexa is baked right in.

But if audio quality (plus smarts) is what you want, you’ll likely want to opt for the Echo Studio. It’s now down to $155 instead of $200 after a 23 percent discount that brings it back to its lowest price ever, from last year’s holiday shopping sale. The speaker packs high audio quality into its 7.7 pound body, emitting excellent sound that led us to declare this “the best-sounding speaker Amazon has built.”

Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals: Save on console bundles with Mario games and Switch Online memberships

There are always gaming deals to be had during the Black Friday period as we gear up for the holidays and, like clockwork, Nintendo has a few Switch bundles on offer. The company doesn’t really offer discounts on its consoles but it will toss in some freebies from time to time. We recommend going for the OLED model and its more vivid display if you think you’re more likely to play the Switch in handheld mode. But if you plan to mostly use the console in docked mode, there’s no harm in opting for the standard Switch and saving $50.

There’s a bundle that includes Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and three months of Switch Online access at no extra cost. You’ll get a Switch, the game and a Switch Online membership for $300. That’s handy for newcomers to the Nintendo ecosystem or those who want to race against a family member in Mario Kart. It’s worth noting that you won’t see the price of the bundle until you check out at Amazon.

It’s hard to argue that this is a great deal, given that the console has been around for nearly seven years and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a port of an even older Wii U game. But it’s among the best deals you’ll find on a Switch right now, at least until Nintendo releases the console’s successor (which is widely expected to happen in 2024). In addition, upgrading to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack plan or buying the Booster Course Pass for $25 will give you access to dozens of extra tracks in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Those who don’t mind spending a little more cash may prefer to pick up a Switch OLED instead. A bundle at Walmart includes Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and three months of Switch Online access. This bundle costs $350. So, if you’re hankering for some fighting game action on a larger, better display than you’ll find on the regular Switch, this is the way to go.

A four pack of Apple AirTags is down to $80 on Amazon for Black Friday 2023

If you’ve wanted a couple more AirTags to keep track of your keys, wallet or luggage, now’s a good time to grab them. An Amazon Black Friday deal has brought the price of a four pack down to $80, which is close to a record low. That also brings the price per AirTag down to $20 each, which is a great price. If you really only have need for one extra Bluetooth tracker, you can buy one AirTag for $24.

Apple’s AirTags leverage the company’s Find My network that’s powered by all of its devices around the world. You’ll need to pair them with an iPhone or an iPad to be able to track them, of course, but as long as they’re within range of another Apple device, you’ll know where they currently are or what their last location was. The Find My map will be able to guide you, so you can find your purse, suitcase, wallet, or whatever it is you’re tracking.

You can make an AirTag play a sound on its built-in speaker through your phone or tablet to make it easier to find, or you can ask Siri to do it for you. If you have an iPhone 11 or later that supports Ultra Wideband, you’ll have access to the Find Nearby feature that displays the distance to and the direction information for your AirTag. Your phone will also vibrate the closer you get to the tracking device. And if you want to be notified as soon as it’s spotted by Apple’s Find My Network, all you have to do is put the device in Lost Mode. When it comes to maintenance, you don’t have to do much: The AirTag is water and dust resistant, and it runs on a coin battery that you only have to replace once a year or so.

Amazon Black Friday deals include Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones at record-low prices

Waiting until there are major discounts on a smartphone you have your eye on is rarely a bad idea, especially if you want to pick up one of the best Android phones around. Several of Samsung’s Galaxy S23 devices are on sale at Amazon for Black Friday, including our pick for the best premium Android phone.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra has dropped down to $900. That’s $300 off the regular price and close to a record low. For a brief time in August, this model was $860, but this is the best price we’ve seen since then.

We gave the Galaxy S23 Ultra a score of 89 in our review earlier this year and, given that the price was one of the main things for which we dinged it, the current discount makes it more enticing. In fact, our other main criticisms were the minimal design changes and the lack of new S Pen features. So if you’re switching from a phone that’s at least a couple of years old, the S23 Ultra should be a serious upgrade.

The device comes with said S Pen built in, which is a definite plus. It has an excellent 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a resolution of 3,088 x 1,440. The screen’s brightness can reach up to 1,750 nits too. The performance, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, is significantly faster than the previous generation.

The S23 Ultra also has terrific cameras, including a new 200MP main sensor on the rear. As for battery life, the handset performed well in our testing. It lasted for 19 hours and 26 minutes in our video rundown test. The S23 Ultra still had plenty of juice in the tank after a day of moderate usage too. Meanwhile, Samsung has started rolling out One UI 6, which is its version of Android 14, so you should have swift access to the latest OS on the S23 Ultra if you pick one up.

Alternatively, if you don’t need quite as many bells and whistles, you can snap up the Galaxy S23 or Galaxy S23+ for record low prices. The Galaxy S23 is $100 off at $700. As for the Galaxy S23+ (to which we gave a score of 86 in our review) has dropped by $200 to $800.

PS5 Black Friday deals 2023: Get $50 off the PlayStation 5

We’ve found plenty of PS5 Black Friday deals, including games, accessories, store funds and the console itself. Grab the disc-based PlayStation 5 system for $450 on Amazon or $50 off the PS5 Slim bundled with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. In addition, you can save on DualSense controllers and games from franchises like God of War, Assassin’s Creed and Star Wars Jedi.

PS5 Slim console with Spider-Man 2

If you’re happy to go disc-free, Amazon has the month-old PS5 Slim console bundled with a digital code for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which Engadget found to be “bigger and better” than the 2018 original, for $499 ($60 off).

Sony’s “Slim” PS5 console (officially called the PS5 Digital Edition) removes the system’s disc drive but lets you change your mind later. Unlike previous digital variants, the disc drive is a modular attachment you can add later as a separate $80 purchase.

PS5 console with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

You can also get the console with Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III for the same price. This is the latest version of the gaming system with its removable disc drive already included and mounted. You also get a digital copy of the newest Call of Duty game, which includes remastered versions of all 16 maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009).

PS5 console (with disc drive)

An Amazon Black Friday deal has the PS5 console on sale for $450 ($50 off). This standard model includes a built-in disc drive that lets you choose between physical discs (without any extra purchases) or digital downloads of your favorite games.

Although this model is out of stock at the time of publication, we wouldn’t be surprised to see availability (for it and other deals in this article) fluctuate throughout the day and perhaps the entire Black Friday weekend.

DualSense controllers

Amazon also has loads of PS5 controllers on sale. The retailer offers various colorways of Sony’s DualSense Wireless gamepad in the $49 to $50 range. These include the standard white, black, cobalt blue, starlight blue, gray camouflage, pink and purple options.

The DualSense controller typically costs $70 to $75, so you’re shaving around a third of the price off Sony’s defacto PS5 gamepad.

PlayStation wallet funds

You can also save on PlayStation wallet funds on Amazon. Although the gift cards are branded for PlayStation Plus memberships, you can use them as standard virtual funds for games, DLC or other digital content.

As is typical with gift card deals, you’ll save more for buying higher amounts. You can get $30 worth of PlayStation funds for $27, $55 for $49.50, $70 for $63 or $110 for $99.

Black Friday PS5 game deals

Sony has plenty of digital games on sale in the PlayStation Store. There are too many to list all of them here, but highlights include God of War: Ragnarok for $30 (down from its usual $60), Cyberpunk 2077 for $30 (currently $50 MSRP), Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for $42 ($70 MSRP), Diablo IV for $42 ($70 MSRP) and Red Dead Redemption 2 for $19.79 ($60 MSRP). You can shop the entire PlayStation Store game sale to see if any other deals jump out.

Meanwhile, retailers have deals on physical PS5 games. Best Buy has discounted God of War: Ragnarok for half off ($35 from its $70 MSRP). Walmart has Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for $30 ($70 MSRP), Resident Evil 4 for $30 ($60 MSRP) and Street Fighter 6 for $30 ($60 MSRP). Amazon has (physical disc) game deals, too, including Elden Ring for $39.69 ($60 MSRP), Assassin’s Creed Mirage for $40 ($50 MSRP) and Final Fantasy XVI for $35 ($70 MSRP).

The 5 best AirPods and AirPods Pro deals we found for Black Friday 2023

If you’ve been looking to grab a new pair of AirPods ahead of the holidays, we have good news: The entirety of Apple’s wireless headphone lineup is on sale for Black Friday. We’ve rounded up the best Black Friday AirPods deals we could find below, with discounts on the base AirPods, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. There’s even a new record-low price on the AirPods Pro with the older Lightning charging case. If you don’t need a new pair today, note that recent reports say Apple may refresh its AirPods lineup later in 2024. But if you don’t want to wait until then, the deals below are still offer good value.

Apple AirPods Pro (USB-C)

Apple’s AirPods Pro are on sale for $190 at Amazon, Walmart, Target and Best Buy. That’s $60 less than buying from Apple directly and ties an all-time low. This is the “best for iOS” pick in our wireless earbuds guide thanks to its suite of helpful Apple-specific features, including hands-free access to Siri, quick pairing with iPhones and device tracking through Apple’s Find My network. Effective (if not class-leading) ANC, a superb transparency mode and a pleasantly warm sound also stand out. That said, the Pro’s six-hour battery life is just average and, as with any set of AirPods, you pretty much have to be a dedicated Apple fan to get the most out of it.

Apple AirPods Pro (Lightning)

The previous deal applies to the latest iteration of Apple’s earphones, which come with a USB-C charging case. If you don’t mind using a Lightning charging case, Walmart has the previous version on sale for a new low of $169. Aside from their charging case, these buds are very similar to the latest model and are still a solid option if you’re looking for a pair of ANC earbuds with a comfortable fit and iOS-specific conveniences. We gave them a score of 88 in our review and praised their improved sound quality and Transparency Mode.

Apple AirPods (2nd Gen)

The second-gen AirPods are down to $80 at Amazon and Target, which isn’t an all-time low but comes in roughly $20 below the pair’s usual street price in recent months. These are Apple’s entry-level wireless earbuds, having launched way back in 2019. They’re a bit tougher to recommend these days, as their one-size-fits-all design won’t fit everyone and you can get better sound quality even at this discounted rate. But if you prefer an open design that doesn’t completely seal off your ear canal, or just want the typical AirPods conveniences for as cheap as possible, this is at least a more acceptable price for these buds.

Apple AirPods (3rd Gen)

The third-gen AirPods are available for $140 at Amazon, Target, Best Buy and others. Typically, these wireless earbuds have retailed between $10 and $20 higher in recent months, but steeper discounts have been uncommon. We gave this pair a review score of 88 back in 2021: There are certainly better-sounding options for the money, but the third-gen AirPods sound noticeably richer than their predecessor, and their haptic touch controls are altogether more convenient. This is another open design, though, so there still isn’t much in the way of deep bass or noise cancellation. Not everyone will find the wider earpieces comfortable either.

Apple AirPods Max

Apple’s top-of-the-line headphones, the AirPods Max, are discounted to $450 at Amazon and Best Buy. That’s $20 more than the lowest price we’ve seen but about $30 below the pair’s usual street price. Apple itself sells the headphones for $550. The AirPods Max are still overpriced for most even with this discount, but they remain undeniably premium, with top-tier ANC, a superbly balanced sound profile, a high-quality aluminum design, reliable controls and all the usual AirPods features. They’re hefty, though, and their included “case” is bafflingly flimsy. We gave the AirPods Max a review score of 84 in late 2020.

1Password Black Friday deal: Save 50 percent on the password manager's individual and family plans

At this point in time, you probably have a ton of passwords to keep track of across a vast number of websites, apps and services. One way to keep them safe and organized, and to prevent losing access to your accounts, is to use a password manager. For Black Friday this year, 1Password is giving you the chance to purchase an individual or a family subscription for 50 percent off their normal prices, as long as you’re a new subscriber. The manager’s individual account normally costs $35.88 a year, while its family account is typically priced at $59.88, so expect to pay half those amounts, respectively.

Both subscription tiers come with access to the service’s mobile and desktop passwords, as well as its browser extensions. You can save not just log in credentials with 1Password, but also addresses and credit card details, and you can hide select vaults when you switch on Travel mode. 1Password will allow you to temporarily share logins with anybody, as well, even if they’re not a user. But if you purchase a family subscription, you can share the account between five people who can create an unlimited number of shared vaults. Each member can also help another recover their access in case they get locked out.

It’s worth noting that 1Password recently went beyond well, passwords, and rolled out support for passkeys to desktop and mobile users. That means you’ll be able to sync your passkeys across devices and across platforms, so you can log in to your accounts without having to resort to using your credentials. This special Black Friday discount will be available from November 24 to November 27 only.

The Dyson Airwrap is at its lowest price yet for Black Friday 2023

One of social media’s seemingly favorite hair styling tools is down to a record low for Black Friday. Dyson’s Airwrap has a list price of $600 but is now on sale for $480 at QVC and for the same price on Amazon, after you clip the on-page coupon. The innovative AirWrap relies on air instead of extreme heat to dry and shape hair — which could help keep your hair healthier over using a curling iron, straightener or blow dryer.

The Dyson Airwrap uses a technology called the Coanda effect, a phenomenon describing airflow’s tendency to follow the path of a curved surface. Here, the air jet flows around the tool’s barrel or brush attachment, so it wraps, dries and styles hair all at once. Since it doesn’t use a lot of heat, it’s meant to be less damaging to your hair in the long run. Dyson claims the Airwrap monitors the device multiple times per second, ensuring the temp stays safe for your hair.

It comes with a rotating cool tip, three airflow speeds, three heat settings and a cold shot feature that immediately turns off the heating element, helping to set your with a blast of cool air. And there are plenty of accessories too: A barrel that’s 1.2 inches around, a barrel 1.6 inches in diameter, two smoothing brushes, a smoothing dryer, a volumizing brush and a detangling comb. Plus there’s a filter cleaner and a case to neatly store everything.

Considering the attention this item has been getting — and the fact that it’s been a fast-selling gift for the holidays — means it may go out of stock quickly. If you’ve got your eye on it, either for your own hair or someone else’s, you may want to snap it up.

Razer Black Friday deals for 2023 include up to 70 percent off gaming mice, keyboards and webcams

If you’ve been looking to pick up some new gaming gear ahead of the holidays, several noteworthy Razer accessories have dropped to lower-than-usual prices for Black Friday. Not all of these Black Friday gaming deals are winners, but the offers do include a couple of top picks from our guides to the best gaming mice and gaming keyboards. The Razer Basilisk V3, for one, is the chief recommendation in the former, and it’s currently available for $40 at Amazon, Walmart, Target and Best Buy. That’s $10 off its typical going rate and matches the lowest price we’ve tracked.

The Basilisk V3 is a wired model, and it’s not the lightest thing around at roughly 100 grams. But if you don’t spend all of your PC gaming time in twitchy multiplayer titles, it’s a superb value at this price. Its sturdy, pleasingly textured shape should be comfortable for most hand sizes and grip types — lefties excluded, sadly — and its sensor had no major issues with tracking accuracy in testing. Its scroll wheel is on the louder side, but it’s also versatile: You can use it to navigate left or right and switch it to a free spin mode that lets you navigate large files faster. The whole thing comes with 11 customizable buttons, including a useful “sensitivity clutch” that lets you momentarily drop or raise the mouse’s DPI in moments where you need to aim more precisely. Speaking from experience, that won’t stop you from getting destroyed in Halo Infinite, but having a little bit of extra flexibility doesn’t hurt.

Elsewhere, the Razer Huntsman V2 TKL keyboard is also worth shouting out at its Black Friday price of $80. That’s the lowest price we’ve tracked for the model with Razer’s Linear Optical switches, which is the runner up pick in our gaming keyboard buying guide. This tenkeyless board doesn’t have the multifunctional analog switches of our top pick, the Wooting 60HE (which isn’t on sale), but it offers a well-crafted design at a much lower price. The linear switches here are fast and noticeably quiet in operation, while the PBT-coated keycaps feel crisp. The keyboard connects over a detachable USB-C cable and comes with a wrist rest in the box as well, though the latter can’t magnetically attach to the keyboard like some competitors. A variant with Razer’s Clicky Optical switches is also on sale for a new low of $45, but we found typing on that model to be distractingly loud in testing.

Among the rest, the Razer Naga Trinity is a decent value at $65 if you want a gaming mouse for MMOs and MOBAs, while the Razer Viper Ultimate is worth a look at $70 if you want a lighter mouse that comes with a charging dock. A handful of Razer’s webcams and bass-heavy gaming headsets are also on sale. If you want to look beyond Razer, we have a more general roundup of Black Friday gaming deals with additional discounts on peripherals we like.

The Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad is 28 percent off in an Amazon Black Friday deal

Amazon has a hefty price cut on the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro / Air. The Black Friday deal drops the (typically $299) accessory’s price to $215, which represents a 28 percent discount. Initially launched in 2020, the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad provides an easy and seamless way to jump between tablet and laptop(-ish) modes. Attach your iPad magnetically to the accessory’s back (it appears to “float”), and Apple’s software immediately recognizes it for typing and cursor control — no Bluetooth pairing or cables required. Engadget recommended it as one of the best iPad accessories.

Its (scissor mechanism) keys feel similar to those of recent Mac keyboards, and its trackpad, although smaller than those on MacBooks, gives you desktop-like cursor control and swipe-based multitasking gestures in iPadOS. The accessory supports USB-C passthrough charging, so you can juice up your iPad while plugging an external drive or monitor into the tablet’s port. The accessory is available in black and white.

This model is only compatible with recent iPad Pro and iPad Air models. Specifically, it supports the 11-inch iPad Pro (1st generation through the current 4th-gen model) and iPad Air (4th and 5th generations). If you have the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, there’s a separate Magic Keyboard model for it that’s also on sale: You can grab that one for $299 (it’s usually $349).

If you’ve already got a keyboard that works for your iPad setup, a few of our other favorite iPad accessories are on sale as well. The second-gen Apple Pencil has dropped to $89 for Black Friday, and Tablift’s iPad holder is on sale for $32 for Amazon Prime members as well.

Amazon Black Friday deals include up to 50 percent off Logitech PC and gaming accessories

Logitech is selling a number of PC and gaming accessories at a steep discount as part of a larger Amazon Black Friday sale. The impacted products include the well-regarded Signature M650 Wireless Mouse and the G230 Wired Gaming Mouse, among other items. All told, you’ll find discounts on mice, keyboards, lights, headphones and chargers.

The Signature M650 is the perfect mouse for most people, with a lightweight form factor and a number of ergonomic enhancements. There are both right or left-hand options, which change the placement of the customizable side buttons, and each mouse boasts the company’s proprietary SmartWheel scrolling technology. This gives you more precision as you scroll line by line.

It’s wireless via Bluetooth or a Logi Bolt receiver and the batteries last two years. There are reasons, after all, why this mouse made our list of the best stocking stuffers. About the only downside here is that the mouse requires AA batteries, but with the two-year battery life, that’s not the biggest deal in the world.

This is part of a larger Logitech PC accessory sale that offers discounts on all kinds of products, including the company’s POP wireless mechanical keyboards and the G Litra Beam Premium LED computer light, which is $85 instead of $100. There’s also a sitewide sale on Logitech G gaming accessories, like the G203 wired gaming mouse for just $20 instead of $40. Black Friday, you dastardly dog.

Peacock Black Friday 2023 deal: Get a one-year Premium plan for only $20

Black Friday deals have come for streaming services, and NBC’s Peacock has a noteworthy sale going on right now. Peacock Premium has been discounted to $2 per month, instead of the usual $6 per month, when you use the code BIGDEAL at checkout. You can spend even less overall if you pay for one year upfront — it’ll cost only $20 for the first year that way, with the code YEARLONG at checkout.

The codes are only valid between November 22 and the 27th, and the offer excludes current Peacock Premium and Premium Plus subscribers. Since launching, Peacock has accumulated over 20 million subscribers and for good reason. It offers a variety of classics, from Dreamworks’ Shrek films, to hit reality TV shows like Love Island. The streaming service has been expanding its titles, with a new season of Dr. Death arriving in December and a prequel series to the Ted films from Seth MacFarlane set to premiere in the new year.

Peacock has been trying to set itself apart from the competition with offerings like next-day streaming of Bravo shows. A subscription could be a holiday treat for yourself or a loved one — the flash monthly sale is hard to beat, especially with streaming prices rising as much as they have been recently.

If you’re interested in other Black Friday streaming deals, Max, Hulu and Paramount+ are among the many who have discounted their memberships for the holiday shopping period. Max’s ad-supported plan is only $3 per month for the first six months; Hulu has discounted one year of access to only $12 and Paramount+ is only $2 per month for the first three months for new subscribers.

Solo Stove’s Pi Prime Pizza Oven is $50 off for Black Friday

Solo Stove’s gas-powered Pi Prime pizza oven is on sale for $300 for Black Friday, which is a discount of $50. You also get a free stainless steel pizza peel with this deal, for those times when you don’t want your bare hands anywhere near a contained flame that reaches 950 degrees Fahrenheit. That should be all of the times.

The Pi Prime is the company’s second pizza oven and, unlike the original Pi, is completely self-contained, with a built-in gas burner. This makes it a great option for those new to the world of pizza slinging, as there are fewer pieces to fiddle with. As mentioned above, the temperature maxes out at 950 degrees Fahrenheit, but the front-facing control dial lets you quickly lower this temperature when needed. It’s a thin line, after all, between a pleasantly charred crust and something resembling the surface of Mercury.

The round shape recalls the company’s well-regarded fire pits and there’s plenty of room to maneuver and cook a 12-inch pizza, in addition to other items. Inside, there’s a two-piece cordierite pizza stone that can be easily removed for cleaning and transport. There’s also nothing stopping you from using the pizza stone in your home oven during the colder months (like now.)

Speaking of those colder months, the Pi Prime ships with a cover, so you don’t have to haul it inside at the first sign of snow. So what’s the downside? As previously mentioned, this is a gas-only stove, and propane costs money. This isn’t a huge deal if you only make pizzas once in a while, but could get frustrating if you’re working diligently to perfect recipes.

The best Black Friday air fryer deals for 2023

One of the big selling points for air fryers is they can do far more than just make french fries crispy. Heating up leftovers is one big plus; the fact that they don’t overheat your entire kitchen is another. They’ve surged in popularity over the past few years, but if you or someone on your gift list somehow doesn’t have one yet, Black Friday is a great time to snag a deal on an air fryer — and three of our top picks are currently on sale. These are the best Black Friday deals on air fryers we’ve tested and recommend.

Amazon is still rolling out Black Friday deals — here are 36 gadgets you can still get

The days between Black Friday and Cyber Monday don’t have fancy shopping names associated with them, but it’s still a good time to shop for deals on Amazon devices, as most sale prices are still going strong. Amazon has sales on its own Kindles, Echos, Fire tablets and so on throughout the year, but the company tends to reserve the best prices for three events: Prime Day sales in July and October, and the post-Thanksgiving shopping holiday.

We’re seeing a new low on the Kindle Scribe, a bundle with a half price Echo Dot and a free smart bulb, and the new Fire TV Stick 4K Max at its lowest price yet. Here are the best discounts on Amazon devices that you can shop for this weekend.

Amazon Kindle Black Friday deals

Kindle Scribe

A number of Amazon’s Kindles are on sale for Black Friday, including a new all-time low on the read/write Kindle Scribe. The model with 16GB of storage and the “Basic Pen” stylus is down to $240. That’s $100 off its $340 list price and its lowest price we’ve seen. We reviewed it when it came out last year and named it the best ereader/E Ink tablet combo in our guide. The Scribe lets you draw, make to-do lists, create sticky notes and scribble in the margins of a limited selection of Kindle titles (mostly puzzle and journaling books).

Kindle

The standard Kindle is our favorite budget ereader and down to $80, which is 20 percent off though about $15 more than its members-only Prime Day price. It lacks a warm back light and isn’t waterproof, but it’s got a crisp, 300 ppi screen and 16GB of storage, which should take you many years to fill up. Plus it’s an affordable way to access the Kindle library and Kindle Exclusive titles.

Kindle Paperwhite

The standard Kindle Paperwhite is on sale for $120 after a 15 percent discount. That’s a good deal more than the $95 it went for on Prime Day in October, but if you like the idea of a warm front light, a bigger screen and a waterproof build, this is a good upgrade from the standard Kindle.

Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition

We called the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition “the best ereader. Period” in our review of the device when it came out. Right now it’s $50 off, making it $140. It doesn’t have lock screen ads, which come standard on most Kindles, plus it offers an auto-adjusting, warm front light, a waterproof build, wireless charging and an ample 32GB of storage.

Kindle Kids

The Kindle Kids edition is pretty similar to the standard Kindle but adds a case, a two-year warranty, and a free year of Amazon Kids+, which auto renews at $5 per month. The subscriptions lets kids read a few thousand kid-appropriate titles and listen to hundreds of audiobooks. There’s also a parent dashboard that lets you set time limits, add books and track your kid’s reading progress. It usually goes for $120, but now it’s $100 instead. That’s $25 more than its lowest price ever during July’s Prime Day.

Kindle Paperwhite Kids

The Kindle Paperwhite Kids is essentially the same hardware as the Kindle Paperwhite, but this version comes with a case, a two year guarantee and a free year of Kindle Kids+ content with access to thousands of kid-appropriate books. It’s now $35 off, which is a 21 percent discount that brings it to $135.

Kindle Unlimited

Amazon is also offering Prime members three months of Kindle Unlimited for 99 cents. It’s usually $12 per month and will auto-renew once the trial is over (so set a reminder if you don’t want that to happen). A subscription lets you read as many ebooks as you want from a selection of around four million ebooks. Bigger new releases and some of the more popular bestsellers aren’t included. It also includes a few thousand audiobooks, which all models of Kindle support via Bluetooth and headphones.

Amazon Echo and Echo Show Black Friday deals

Amazon Echo Dot with a Kasa Smart Bulb

You can get the Echo Dot by itself for $23 right now, plus Amazon is throwing in a free TP-Link color smart bulb. The bundle would go for $73 at full price. These make a perfect smart home starter kid, as asking Alexa to turn on a light is one of the convenient perks of having the assistant in your home. The Echo Dot is one of our favorite smart speakers and TP-Link Kasa makes our favorite smart bulbs (the one in the bundle is a slightly brighter version of our pick).

Echo Dot

Amazon’s most popular smart speaker is the baseball-sized Echo Dot. It’s now down to $23 which matches the all-time low it hit for the last two Prime Days. It’s one of our favorite smart speakers because it pumps out good sound and volume for its size and adds Alexa’s helpful AI assistance to your home. Use it to set timers, tell you the weather and remind you about stuff you need to do and when to do it. It’s also a convenient way to control your other smart home devices, from light bulbs in the ceiling to robot vacs on the floor.

Echo Pop

Amazon’s smallest smart speaker is the Echo Pop, which came out earlier this year. It’s currently down to $18, which matches its all-time low. The colorful half-sphere is perfect for stashing in a corner of a room where you don’t have much space. It’ll let you ask Alexa the time, weather news and more, while also directing the voice assistant to remind you when it’s time to leave for an appointment or shut off the holiday lights. It can also play music, but the sound won’t be as good as it would be with a larger Echo speaker.

Echo

The Echo is the original Amazon smart speaker and has been refreshed four times since its launch. The latest model updated the shape from a puck to a globe, which makes room for a three-inch woofer and two 0.8-inch tweeters. The result is quality audio with plenty of bass. The highs could be more crisp but overall it’s noticeably louder than its two closest competitors, the Nest Audio or HomePod mini and can fill a room with sound. The Echo is now down to $55, which is the same as it went for during both 2023 Prime sales, though it’s about $5 more than its all-time low. It’s currently our favorite smart speaker under $100 because it combines great sound with all that Alexa can do.

Echo Studio

Amazon’s biggest smart speaker, the Echo Studio, keeps the focus on the sound quality, with three two-inch midrange speakers, a single one-inch tweeter and a 5.25-inch downward-facing woofer packed into its eight-inch frame. The list price is $200 and right now it’s down to $155 which matches its all-time low. We gave the Studio an 88 in our review, impressed by the hi-res sound.

Echo Pop with free Sengled smart bulb

The Echo Pop is a great candidate for a voice-operated smart home controller, which is probably why Amazon is bundling it with a Sengled Smart Bulb. The set costs $38, which is 36 percent off their full prices. The Sengled bulb earned an honorable mention in our guide to smart bulbs for its easy, if slightly unpolished app, and the fact that it outputs millions of colors on any schedule you’d like.

Echo Show 5

The Echo Show 5 is Amazon’s smallest smart display and was completely refreshed back in May of this year. The processor and audio quality were improved, but the device is largely the same, acting as a screen-enabled bedside alarm clock or a handy kitchen display for recipe videos and the like. It’s currently down to $40 which is $50 off and a discount it has hit twice in the past couple months.

Echo Show 8

The mid-sized Amazon smart display, the Echo Show 8 is on sale for $105 instead of $150 and represents its first discount. We did a hands-on with the new Echo Show 8 during Amazon’s devices event this September and were impressed by the new Adaptive Content feature. Depending on how far away from the display you are, the information changes, with simple time and weather info when you’re across the room and more detailed and personalized info, like a playlist or news articles when you’re closer.

Echo Show 10

Do you want a smart display that can track you as you move around the room? The Echo Show 10 with a pivoting base can do just that. The ability should keep you in frame for video calls and make sure you can always see your recipe as you move around the kitchen. The 10-inch screen will keep tabs on your connected cameras and doorbells and the large base housing two one-inch tweeters and a three-inch subwoofer, will deliver quality sound.

Echo Show 15

The Echo Show 15 is a smart display that verges on smart TV territory and it’s one of our recommended gifts for tech folk. It can display your video doorbell feeds, control your smart home devices, act as a widget-driven bulletin board, offer Alexa’s help, and play your shows on streaming apps. The 15-inch screen can be wall-mounted in portrait or landscape and can be operated with the remote, via touchscreen or with your voice.

Echo Dot Kids

The Echo Dot for kids has the same general design as the regular Dot, but has a cute owl or dragon exterior. It also comes with a free year of Amazon Kids+, which lets young folk access age-appropriate audio books, morning routines and Alexa’s educational skills. The speaker is currently 53 percent off and down to $28. That matches the low it hit for both Amazon Prime sales this year.

Echo Pop Kids

Amazon announced the new kids version of the Echo Pop during its hardware event this fall and it’s already seeing a 54 percent discount, bringing it to $23 and an all-time low. You can get it with Marvel characters or Disney Princesses on the front. It also comes with Amazon Kids+ free for a year. There’s also a bundle that includes a kids Pop and an Echo Glow, a smart night light that lets you set schedules and program its lighting. The Echo Pop Kids with an Echo Glow bundle is 43 percent off.

Ring Video Doorbell with Echo Show 5

The Ring Video Doorbell and an Echo Show 5 make a great smart home starter kit The bundle is now $65, instead of the $190 you’d pay at full price. Currently, both devices are on sale on their own — buying the bundle saves you an extra $10 off their sale prices. The Ring Video Doorbell can run either on your existing doorbell wires or on battery. It shoots motion-triggered 1080p video, and sends it to the Ring app on your phone or directly to your Echo Show 5.

Echo Buds

Another entry in our affordable earbuds guide are the Echo Buds made by Amazon. They’re down to $35, which matches their all-time low. If you don’t like the style of buds that go into your ear canal, and would prefer the type that rest on the concha (the bowl next to the canal) these are a worthy compromise to Apple’s more expensive AirPods.

Amazon Fire TV deals

Fire TV Stick 4K Max

The new Fire TV Stick 4K Max is on sale for $40, which is a 33 percent discount and its lowest price since its debut in September. This new model has a faster processor than the previous 4K Max dongle, and is the first stick to support Amazon’s Ambient Experience, which was previously limited to the Fire TV sets. When you’re not watching, the screen can display art, along with widgets for weather, calendar and smart home devices. The Alexa remote lets you search for and play shows and movies just by talking, and also supports Wi-Fi 6E, letting those who’ve upgraded to take advantage of that tri-band connection.

Fire TV Stick Lite

We found Amazon’s Fire TV Stick Lite to be the best budget streaming device you can buy — which goes double now that it has dropped to $16. The deal represents a 46 percent discount off the $30 list price (though it often sells for $20). It’s also just a dollar more than its all-time low. The Fire TV Stick Lite doesn’t stream content in 4K and can’t control a TV’s volume or on/off functions, but lets you use all the streaming platforms you subscribe to, presenting them in an interface that’s easy enough to navigate, but we do wish that it didn’t favor and promote Amazon content quite as much as it does.

Fire TV Stick

The standard Fire TV Stick is down to $20, which is 50 percent off the $40 list price (though it’s often on sale for $25). The standard stick offers HD content and, unlike the Lite, has the ability to control your TV’s volume and power.

Fire TV 40-inch 2-Series

Many of Amazon’s Fire TVs are discounted, including models from Toshiba and Insignia, but the arguably better sets are the “Amazon-built” ones the company manufactures. The Fire TV 65″ Omni QLED Series 4K TV is now 26 percent off and down to $590, the same price it hit in October for Prime Day. It supports 4K content with Dolby Vision, adaptive brightness and includes hands-free Alexa both through built-in speakers on the TV itself, no remote required (though it does come with one).

Amazon Fire tablet deals

Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet

The Fire HD 8 is probably the cheapest way to get a tablet that will actually perform. Right now the latest generation, which came out in 2022, is down to just $60, which is $5 more than it’s all time low, but still $40 off the MSRP. It’s not as fast as the larger Fire HD 10 and doesn’t have the clearest screen at 1,280 x 800 resolution, but it should serve well as a casual streaming device and web browser. Plus it gets 10 hours on a charge and has a lightweight build.

Fire HD 8 Kids

The Fire HD 8 Kids is down to $75, which matches its lowest price. It’s usually $150, but often drops to $100. The kids version has the same hardware as the Fire HD 8, but comes with a kickstand case, a two-year guarantee and a free year of access to Amazon Kids+ which includes age-appropriate games, books, videos and shows. The UI is also simplified for kids and connects to a parental dashboard to help you keep tabs on your kids tablet activities.

Fire HD 10 tablet

Amazon’s revamped Fire HD 10 tablet came out in late September and is already down to $80 for the model with 32GB of storage. That’s 42 percent off and the first discount this generation has seen. This new model is speedier and lighter than before and upgrades the front camera to a 5MP for better video calls. It makes a good couch companion, handling casual streaming and browsing, as well as simpler games. It’s not meant for serious productivity, particularly since it relies on Amazon’s more limited Fire tablet apps library, but for less than $100, it’s hard to beat the price.

Fire HD 10 Kids tablet

Like the Fire HD 10, the Fire HD 10 Kids tablet is a newly refreshed model with a quicker processor and a slightly lighter build. The kids version adds in a protective case with a kickstand, plus access to Amazon Kids+ for a slew of kid-friendly content. It’s currently $65 off making it the cheapest it’s ever been. Amazon makes the Fire HD 10 Kids Pro for older kids. It comes with a slightly less bulky case and allows more access to the web via a filtered browser.

Fire Max 11

Amazon calls the Fire Max 11 their best tablet yet and in our hands-on we were impressed by how much Amazon is offering for the money. It has an 11-inch LCD display, an aluminum frame, an octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM. Like all Fire tablets, you’re limited to the apps within the Fire Tablet App store, so it’s not going to become a laptop-replacing workhorse. But now that it’s on sale for $150, matching its all-time low, it’s a good buy for a casual use tablet.

Ring and Blink Black Friday deals

Ring Battery Doorbell Plus

The Ring Battery Doorbell Plus was refreshed this year and is currently seeing a 33 percent discount making it just $120 instead of $180. It captures head-to-toe, 1536p video and in-color night vision and send it to your phone or smart display. The Package Alert feature lets you know when your Amazon (or other) delivery arrives and the two-way audio allows you to communicate with whoever is at the door. It operates on a rechargeable battery pack or you can hardwire it to your doorbell wires for continual power.

Echo Show 5 with Blink Mini

The Echo Show 5 is the perfect size for keeping an eye on your Alexa-enabled smart cameras and doorbells, so this Blink Mini bundle makes sense. For $45, you get the 5-inch Echo Show and the wired indoor security cam from Blink. Separately and at full price, you’d pay $80. Right now, the Show 5 alone is down to $40 and the Blink Mini is $20, so you’re still saving $15 on the set.

Ring Video Doorbell

The Ring Video Doorbell is down to $55 after a 45 percent discount. It takes 1080p video triggered by better motion detection, compared to the previous model and offers two-way audio. It also allows for privacy zones and can shoot with night vision, operating on either rechargeable (built-in) batteries or through your existing doorbell hard wires. It connects via Wi-Fi and the Ring app, but if you also connect with an Alexa device, you can enable preset announcements triggered by different actions, like a doorbell press. It’s also available as a bundle with an Echo Show 5 smart display for $65, or about $10 less than their individual sale prices.

Blink Video Doorbell

Both Blink and Ring are owned by Amazon, and both use their individual apps for setup, but also work with the Alexa app and other Amazon smart home devices. Blink just makes one doorbell, the Blink Video Doorbell and it’s less expensive than all Ring models, with a list price of $60. Now it’s half price and down to just $30, which makes it one of the more affordable ways to keep tabs on your porch and packages. Keep in mind that it’s battery-powered only and to see a live view on-demand (as in, not triggered by motion), you’ll need an additional device, the $35 Sync Module 2.

Blink Mini

The indoor, wired Blink Mini security camera is 43 percent off for Black Friday, going for $20 and about $2 more than its all-time low and about $5 less than it often sells for. The camera offers HD video and two-way audio so you can hear and talk to people in the room (or tell the dog to hop off the couch). If you also have a Blink Video Doorbell, the Blink Mini can act as a chime

Blink Outdoor 4

The Blink Outdoor 4 is our preferred outdoor security camera in our smart home guide. Right now it’s half price for a set of two, down to $99 for the set. This latest generation came out in August and supports better motion detection, a wider field of view and infrared night vision. An optional subscription unlocks person detection and allows clips to be stored in the cloud. The mounting kit attaches to a variety of surfaces and thanks to the two-year battery life, you can stick it just about anywhere you want.

Eero deals

Eero Pro 6E mesh Wi-Fi router

If you want to take advantage of that 6 GHz Wi-Fi band, you’ll need a router (and devices) that support it. Amazon’s Eero Pro 6E mesh Wi-Fi router is $400 for a set of three, which covers up to 6,000 square feet. In our tests, the routers performed well enough; they’re easy to set up and use, with an app that has a clean UI and step-by-step instructions. Unfortunately, many of the management features are paywalled, whereas systems from Google offer many of those tools for free.

If you’re not worried about accessing that 6GHz band, a three-pack of the Eero Pro 6 mesh Wi-Fi 6 router may serve you better. It’s currently 40 percent off and down to $240. The set will also cover 6,000 square feet, and can deliver gigabit speeds from ISP plans that offer it. This is technically also a tri-band router, with two antennas for the 5GHz band along with a single 2.4GHz receiver.

A single unit of the Eero 6+ mesh Wi-Fi router is currently $90 after a 36 percent discount. It’s a dual-band, gigabit router with up to 1,500 square feet of coverage.

Intellivision can't afford to make its long-delayed Amico retro console

Intellivision’s long-delayed Amico retro gaming system isn’t going to arrive anytime soon. The company says it doesn’t have enough money to build the console in volume. Intellivision unveiled the Amico in 2018, said it would arrive two years later and raised millions from folks who put down a (refundable) $100 deposit.

Since then, Intellivision has faced disaster after disaster and there’s still no indication of when the Amico will be available. To make the console finally happen, though, the company needs money.

Intellivision revealed its latest plan to help it raise funds earlier this year, an app that’s said to ape the experience of the Amico on Android and iOS devices. The Amico Home app debuted in beta on Android this week and it’s bizarre to say the least.

To use Amico Home, you’ll likely need at least two Android phones or tablets, or one of each. One displays the game and you use the other as a controller (alternatively, you can use a “real Amico controller”). If you can hook the former up to your TV via HDMI, you can play the games on a big screen.

There are only two games available on Amico Home at the minute, Missile Command from 1980 and Astrosmash from 1981. Both are original Intellivision titles. Despite how old those games are and the fact Amico Home is in beta, Intellivision somehow reckons it’s just fine to charge $15 for them while calling the app “an affordable way to enjoy family gaming entertainment.”

Those who pre-ordered the console can get Amico Home download codes for certain games, but that’s not exactly going to help Intellivision’s bottom line. It seems highly unlikely that Amico Home would get even close to generating enough revenue for Intellivision to make the Amico a reality. Kotaku tried out Amico Home and called it “one janky piece of crap.” Still, Intellivision hopes the app will at least be successful enough for it to secure investment for the console.

“Our ability to begin manufacturing Amico consoles in volume requires securing additional investment,” Intellivision said in a statement. “The release of Amico Home puts us on a better footing to attract such investment or to eventually fund manufacturing from the proceeds of Amico Home game sales. We remain dedicated to moving Intellivision forward, step by step, until we can deliver on the full vision of Amico, including the consoles.”
