Timelapse Of A Man Creating A Realistic Chewbacca Bust

timelapse-chewbacca-sculpture-1.jpg

This is a video of sculptor Stephen Richter creating a lifelike Chewbacca bust. It goes from a terrifying lump of clay to a dead-ringer for everybody’s favorite Wookie (unless you like Tarfful or Wullffwarro or Kitwarr more because you dare to be different). Stephen is obviously very talented. He’s also obviously got a connection for realistic fur, which is great news because I want to make my girlfriend a cat for Christmas.

Keep going for the video as well as a BONUS bust of Hulk from Thor: Ragnarok.

American Airlines without Pilots for Christmas after Scheduling System Glitch

American Airlines is offering its pilots 150 percent of their hourly pay to work during the holidays after a glitch allowed too many pilots to take vacation at the same time. Due to an error in the system pilots use to bid for time off, thousands of flights during the holiday season currently do not have pilots assigned to fly them.

The union estimates some 15,000 flights next month don’t have pilots assigned to fly them. “The airline is a 24/7 op,” said Dennis Tajer, an American Airlines captain and a spokesman for the pilot’s union. “The system went from responsibly scheduling everybody to becoming Santa Claus to everyone. The computer said, ‘Hey ya’ll. You want the days off? You got it.'”

Google Launches App That Can Help You Track and Conserve Mobile Data

Google has taken another small step forward in its mission to connect the “next billion” users with a new app designed to optimize your mobile data usage. From a report: Datally for Android has been in testing for several months in the Philippines, and now it’s ready for prime time globally. To activate Datally, you will have to give the app access to many facets of your device, including giving it the ability to “make and manage calls,” “send and view SMS messages,” and view the device’s location. But then again, any app that wants to monitor background processes on your smartphone will need fairly comprehensive access to the device.
