These are two videos from engineer Jack Rober and backyard scientist The Backyard Scientist of a pool filled with 25-million of those super-absorbent Orbeez balls that grow to 100 times their initial size when soaked in water. The first video was made to test how far a person will sink if they jump in a pool full of these things, and the second video is eight more experiments including exploding dry ice and shooting fireworks in the Orbeez pool. I need to make friends with these two. Clearly these guys know how to spend a weekend. Maybe I can bring something to the group dynamic. And if that something happens to be a case of beer and a lot of yelling, well, they’ll probably abandon me like all my friends in the past. It’s cool, I’m used to it. I want people to like me just the way I am. “You’re insufferable.” Ahahahahahaha, did we used to date? All my exes have said the exact same thing.
