Whee!: TSA And FAA Approved Electric Luggage Scooter You Can Ride Around The Airport

Meet the Modobag, a carry-on electric suitcase scooter you can ride around the airport like an asshole (previously: the Chinese farmer they stole the idea from). The scooter has an indoor speed of 5MPH, an outdoor speed of 8MPH, and an off-a-cliff speed of much faster. The bag carries 85% the amount of luggage of an identically sized bag, has a crush-proof laptop compartment, GPRS-GSM tracking, two USB charging ports, can go 8 miles on a full charge, and charges up to 80% in just 15 minutes. It’s currently an already-funded Indiegogo campaign so $995 plus shipping will get you one when they ship in January 2017. As much as it might sound like I’m against the idea, I actually want one very badly and have every intention of stealing somebody’s off the baggage carousel, tearing out the tracker, and making it my own. Will I lead airport security on a low-speed chase straight into the side of an airport shuttle? A man can dream. But not if he can’t sleep. I think that’s an old proverb. Or maybe just something my grandma used to say when her mind started to go.

Keep going for a video of people zooming around the least crowded airports I’ve ever seen. At LAX you’d constantly have your face in somebody’s ass.
