Google App Engine Firewall Goes to Beta

If you have become to rely on Google Cloud Platform services, its App Engine Firewall is now in the wild and ready for testing. This is still a beta release and Google advises against using it in production environments. I am fairly sure there are some HardOCP readers that will find this immediately useful.

The App Engine firewall enables you to control access to your App Engine app through a set of rules that can either allow or deny requests from the specified ranges of IP addresses.

Create a firewall to: Allow only traffic from within a specific network – Allow only traffic from a specific service – Block abusive IP addresses
