These are a handful of shots of a single Dawn Redwood tree that was carved into a massive lion over the course of three years by twenty workers under the guidance of Chinese architect Dengding Rui Yao. The finished sculpture, dubbed Oriental Lion, measures 47.5-feet long, 16.5-feet tall and 13 feet wide. For reference, that’s about the size of– “Not your penis.” God no, I said 47.5-feet long, not 80.
Keep going for several more shots, including a shot of the tree used before it was cut down (but why was it cut down?). Also, if I was that lion I’d get those growths on my back looked at by a dermatologist.
