This is the nature-cam footage captured by Bernie Barringer of a one-eyed American black bear (one-eyed is not part of the species name, it just lost an eye in a fight with another bear) waking after months of hibernation, and slowing leaving its den. It takes almost a full month for that sleepy bastard to finally wake up for good! Obviously, that reminds me a lot of myself. It takes me almost a full month just to get out of bed every morning, which may explain why my FitBit says I’ve only been alive five days so far this year. *shrug* I just love sleeping so much. If I could be any superhero, you know who I’d be? “Superman?” Rip Van Winkle. “Rip Van Winkle is not a superhero.” Well he is to me.
Keep going for the video (be sure to play with volume for commentary) while I plan for my daily siesta in a men’s bathroom stall.
