Sadness: Pokemon GO Player Suffers Fatal Heart Attack After Catching Rare Monster

67-year old Singaporean man Liang Weiming recently suffered a fatal heart attack after successfully capturing a Pokemon that had eluded him — a Lapras. The level 28 Pokemon GO player had already collected over 200 unique pocket monsters, but the excitement of finally catching his white whale did him in. I wish I could get that excited about something.

According to his wife, the excitement of the catch caused him to have a heart attack right on the spot. Weiming was transported to the Singapore General Hospital but was unable to be saved and passed away shortly after arriving. He had reportedly also suffered from heart disease and cardiac issues for some time, so it’s possible or even probable that any level of excitement would have triggered the dire event, and it just happened to be the glee of finally catching a Lapras.

Well, at least he died doing what he loved. Me? I’ll probably die doing what I hate the most, so either here at my cubicle at work after 5PM on a Friday, or washing dishes by hand at home. And not even my own dishes — my roommate’s dishes that he didn’t wash that now I have to wash because I’m cooking for a date tonight and don’t want the sink filled with his mess. You know, if any of you are professional hit-men (or women) for hire you should hit me up through the tip line. Honestly, you don’t even have to be a professional, just an amateur trying to spruce up your resume.

Thanks to Thaylor H, who agrees it’s only a matter of time before I’m found dead in a bathroom stall after winning a big hand in virtual poker.
