Oh Wow: Man Makes 850-Foot Hole In One Disc Golf Shot

This is a video of disc golfer Philo Brathwaite throwing an 850-foot hole-in-one on a par 4 at the 2016 Beaver State Fling disc golf tournament. And it’s not a straight shot either, he has to make a very hard right bank around some trees towards the disc basket. For reference, 850-feet is almost 2.5X the length of a football field, including the end zones. Sure he’s throwing a disc made to fly as far as possible, but that’s beside the point. This is like throwing a crumpled piece of paper at a trashcan 30-feet away and making it, but that trashcan is in your neighbor’s apartment with the door and windows locked. Okay so maybe it’s nothing like that, but it is extremely difficult. I used to love playing disc golf when I was in college. It includes everything you need to have a great time: friends, the outdoors, throwing things at other things as hard as you can, drinking beer, losing your discs in the woods and getting pissed and yelling and punching trees, getting attacked by bears, trying to defend yourself from bears, dying, reviving yourself with the Amulet Of Virility gifted to you by a witch hag who was in desperate need of some tender loving one lonely night out by the swamp. *rereading* Yep, that’s what I really love about disc golf.

Keep going for the video, as well as the classic, “What the f***, Richard?!” disc golf throw because it gets me every time.
