Seen here looking like a man who could absolutely bring a sword to a gunfight and still win, this is a video of modern samurai Isao Machii (previously on Geekologie) setting a new world record for the most straw mats cut in a minute, with a total of 87 successful samurai slices. According to the official guidelines (because rules are important), each mat roll “must be a minimum of 90 cm in length and clearly divided into four sections of 15 cm. The cuts must then be made in the 15cm sections marked on the shafts.” Admittedly, very impressive work, Isao, but now what am I supposed to sleep on?
