These are several videos of ‘Can’t Help Myself’, an art installation created by Sun Yuan & Peng Yu on display at the Guggenheim museum in New York City. It consists of an industrial robotic arm futilely trying to mop up a bloody floor. It’s not real blood though, it’s fake blood. In the future though it won’t be fake blood, it will be real human blood and there will also be pieces of skin and bone in the mix. But do you really think robots will have the decency to clean up our remains after killing us? SPOILER: No they will not. They’ll just leave them where they lie and step over them the same way you’d step over a puddle on the sidewalk. That’s what we are to them — sidewalk puddles. Repent! Now, let’s bow our heads and pray. *from downstairs* “Honey, lunch is rea–” Not now, mom, I’m addressing my cult!
Keep going for three videos in case one wasn’t enough.
