Massive School Of Fish Form Swarming Ball To Avoid Predation (SPOILER: Better Luck Next Time)

fish-bait-ball.jpg

This is a video from the BBC’s Blue Planet of a school of anchoveta forming a massive swarming bait ball in an attempt to confuse predators and live to swim another day. It does not work out that well for them. I actually remember seeing this footage years ago when Blue Planet originally aired, but that’s just me and I watch everything narrated by David Attenborough as soon as it comes out. Sometimes I even try to download them illegally before they come out and wind up with a bunch of p0rn viruses instead. Who does that to a nature lover? Imagine a teenage girl whose favorite boy band is David Attenborough, that’s me. You should see the posters in my bedroom. “Please tell me you kiss them before bed.” Every single one.

Keep going for the video.
