This is a video of the Slow Mo Guys visiting a Perdue University testing lab to watch a 1.5-inch thick reinforced steel rod being stretched until it snaps in half. It’s actually pretty interesting to witness, because I didn’t think that could be done by anything on earth but Superman. You can actually see the rod stretching before it snaps clean. I learned a lot by watching it. Mostly, that if you’re a reinforced steel rod you’re going to want to stay the hell away from the testing labs at Perdue University.
