Because breaking things is all the rage these days, this is a shot of the 18th century statue of Saint Michael that a Brazilian tourist recently backed into and broke while taking a selfie at the National Museum of Ancient Art in Lisbon, Portugal. As you may or may not know, Saint Michael is the patron saint of grocers, mariners, paratroopers, and police officers, sadly none of which were able to save him from an oblivious museum goer. Me? I’ve never broken anything at a museum in my entire life, and I’ve definitely taken more than my fair share of selfies touching marble penises and porcelain breasts.
Keep going for a shot of Saint Michael during better times.
