This is a video news report from Florida discussing the adrenaline junkies who took
to the beach during the onset of Hurricane Matthew to wind-surf. The clip features one wind-surfer catching some huge air, which he amazingly manages to land after instead of getting pitted — so pitted. Actually, getting pitted is a positive term used to describe surfing completely inside the barrel of a wave, so it’s not actually the right expression to use here. I think killed was the word I was looking for.
