Skype was founded in the city of London way back in 2003. Unfortunately, Skype’s newest office in that same city is coming under Microsoft’s surgical scalpel in a fresh round of layoffs. Microsoft acquired Skype in 2011 for a staggering (at the time) $8.5 billion, and perhaps its investment isn’t paying off as handsomely as originally expected
