Have you stopped bitching about the update yet? Good. Now we can all move forward. But first get all that unneeded update crap off that expensive SSD you are running for a C drive, right? Remember that “Disk Cleanup” feature you get under the Tools menu when you right click the drive in the drive property window?
The tool will recalculate your space savings, but this time include a new option — Previous Windows installation(s). This will include the files created by installing the Anniversary Update — a whopping 25.9GB in my case. Check that box, and the Temporary Windows installation files one as well and click OK to remove those backed up files and regain your missing hard drive space.
