Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has digitized a host of decades old films of above-ground nuclear testing done by the United States government. LLNL is going back and analyzing the films and capturing all sort of new data they say was never captured before now. Below is the first one on the playlist. For the past five years, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) weapon physicist Greg Spriggs and a crack team of film experts, archivists and software developers have been on a mission to hunt down, scan, reanalyze and declassify film recordings of the U.S. atmospheric nuclear tests.
