If you have a late model Galaxy device, you may want to go ahead and delete “that” folder for a little while. Gizmodo is reporting that the default texting app is randomly sending pictures to random contacts without any permission. Even better, when it does send the unauthorized pic, it leaves no trace of it ever happening.
Be careful before you end up letting your boss know how you really feel. Or you send your granny a pic of the wrong kind of coin purse.
Asked for comment, Samsung sent Gizmodo a statement, saying, “We are aware of the reports regarding this matter and our technical teams are looking into it. Concerned customers are encouraged to contact us directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG.” We also reached out to T-Mobile, which responded by referring users back to Samsung, saying, “It’s not a T-Mobile issue.”
