Following a crash involving one of its autonomous vehicles in Chandler, Arizona, Waymo was quick to release a video proving that its van was not at fault. There was initially speculation that the company’s self-driving technology played some part in the incident, but the vehicle was actually in manual mode the entire time.



According to officials the driver of a Honda sedan was traveling eastbound on Chandler Boulevard had to swerve to avoid striking a vehicle traveling northbound on Los Feliz Drive. As the Honda swerved, the vehicle continued to head eastbound into the westbound lanes of Chandler Boulevard and struck the Waymo vehicle.
