It is being reported on the GeForce Forums, that the v397.31 Game Ready Drivers are causing folks issue on install. It seems the drivers are failing with GTX 1060 cards then throwing the machine into an endless loop. I would suggest you hold off on upgrading those drivers till we get an official response from NVIDIA. Well, they will not respond to HardOCP since we reported on GPP, but maybe they will say something we can pass along.
after restart i lost my second screen and open hardware monitor showed no GFX info,a pop up tells me to force reinstall driver, this did not work and kept doing same thing restart force reinstall, next i tried a clean install still same problem so went to Nvidia drivers and re downloaded 391.35 problem solved i guess the new driver has issues
same issues
same here
Same, also gtx 1060 6 gb
i cant install any driver after i downloaded the newest
Same problem with me.
I have the exact same issue with the new driver and my GTX 1060 6GB. Even uninstalling the new and going back to the old driver didn’t work for me. Had to use DDU to clean everything and I’m now back on 391.35 which works fine. Does NVIDIA do any testing before release?
Further to my last post, it seems that all of my games are unplayable now in that they refuse to go above 2fps. :/ Hopefully Nvidea can release a fix soon
