Despite the social media company’s claim that it is “not testing a dislike button,” there is clear evidence that Facebook is working on a downvoting feature for comments. Clicking it would hide a comment and flag it for moderation.



For years, many of Facebook’s two-billion users have campaigned for a “dislike” button, a feature which Facebook has repeatedly refused to address. The social network was keen to stamp out any excitement over what many will perceive as an alternative to the “like” button.
