The game RUST has a fairly strong following and even registers as having over 165,000 reviews on Steam that point to those being Mostly Positive and Very Positive. What is somewhat entertaining is that it has been in Early Access for four years. First early access game review that I have ever seen with a guy that have 3,500 hours in the game. Here is my favorite comment of his after recommending RUST. “Don’t get this game if you won’t treat it like a full time job. You will be disappointed every time you login to find that your base has been raided by a bunch of high schoolers who can spend almost 12 hours a day on the game.” Sign me up!
The guy with the bucket on his head shooting the rifle in the video is pretty funny…
After over four long years, Rust is leaving Early Access. We started creating Rust in 2013, releasing it for testing originally as a browser game. After a few months, in December 2013 we released on Steam in Early Access.
We plan to leave Early Access on the 8th February 2018. We’re not planning any big reveals, launch parties, around the world tours or cash prize giveaways for this event. We’re not going to move staff onto other projects. It’s very much going to happen without much fuss. It’s business as usual.
