Denuvo’s authentication servers were down for almost all of Warner Bros’ games, which prevented Batman: Arkham Knight, Mad Max, and Shadow of War from launching. While some gamers managed to get them working by retrying multiple times, it seems clear that the issue stemmed from anti-tamper tech.



Now, this is one of the main reasons PC gamers are against the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Since a respectable number of games are using it, we don’t know what will happen when the Denuvo servers go down. Or I guess we now have a clue; players will be unable to play their legitimately purchased games.
