It seems as though every few months we hear of a new semiconductor breakthrough from Samsung, and today is no different. The company just announced that it has built the world’s smallest 8-gigabyte DDR4 DRAM chips ever, thanks to its second-generation 10nm manufacturing process (which Samsung refers to as 1y-nm).
