Microsoft has filed for a new patent that could end up saving some marriages. Innocently named “automation of browsing mode switching,” the feature would ensure that traces of questionable sites aren’t left on your PC.



Typical implementations require a user to proactively initiate a browser’s privacy mode before visiting a sensitive website. According to implementations for “automation of browsing mode switching,” techniques are described for automatically switching between different browsing modes, such as switching between normal browsing mode and private browsing mode.
