3D Printed Rockets for the Low Price of $10M

Relativity Space is a very small company out in California that is working on beating out the other rocket competition with “cheap” 3D printed rockets. They are not exactly using what most likely comes to mind when we think of 3D printers, but rather huge 18 foot high 3D printers that are extruding their own metal compositions that are formulated in-house. They have appropriately named their printer, Stargate. If you dig a little deeper on their site you will find prototype engines already being built and tested. And if you are looking for a job as a rocket scientist, Relativity has some job openings.

We are an orbital launch company that will deploy and resupply satellite constellations with short lead times and at low cost. – Our technology builds toward our long-term goal of 3D printing the first rocket made from Mars.
