Tsunekazu Ishihara, the CEO of the Pokemon Company told Nintendo that the Switch would be a failure in a sea of available electronic-handheld gaming devices. Coming off the minuscule sales of the Wii U compared to the Wii, the Switch has had a resounding success. Most stores are having trouble keeping it in stock. Nintendo is having a successful year and seems to be reverberating among the console gaming consumers again.



“I told Nintendo that Switch wouldn’t be a success before it went on sale because I thought that in the age of the smartphone, no one would carry out a game console,” he said. “It’s obvious I was wrong.”
