Randy Garutti, the CEO of Shake Shack joined the board of the directors for Square, the online payment service. Square is expanding its horizons to retail and hospitality business from just a credit card accepting phone-based payment system. Garutti was previously director of operations at Union Square Hospitality Group and has been with the Shake Shack since 2004 before the company opened its first location. Whatever makes paying for burgers easier right?No word on whether or not Five Guy’s CEO is joining Vend.



So for a company whose future growth prospects at least somewhat are dependent on it succeeding in the hospitality space, it makes total sense to bring an experienced restauranteur onboard to help shape those ambitions.
