Techcrunch has a story about a new start-up that is helping to make a motion capture suit for cheaper than what the studios are asking from content creators. Developed by Rokoko, the Smartsuit Pro coming in at around $2,500 looks like a ninja costume quipped with 19 gyroscopic sensors embedded within the suit and ships with its own studio software. I can think of more than a few creative things to make with that suit.



Rokoko is a hardware startup and the inventors of the sensor-based motion capture solution, the Smartsuit that will democratize character animation. The grand vision is to introduce a way to achieve a natural physical presence in the virtual world.
