Ready for the North America Eclipse

What are you doing on August 21st? Likely you will be outside trying to burn your retinas out with the rest of us. The Eclipse Megamovie project is getting a bunch of folks together to take photographs that will later be put into what is very likely a VR-ish presentation so that you can see the eclipse in all its glory. What is cool about this site is that it has an Eclipse Simulator that you can put your location into to get a preview of what it will look like from your vantage point. Mark the date on your calendar now.

The Eclipse Megamovie Project will gather images of the 2017 total solar eclipse from over 1,000 volunteer photographers and amateur astronomers, as well as many more members of the general public. We’ll then stitch these media assets together to create an expanded and continuous view of the total eclipse as it crosses the United States.

And remember, do not burn your retinas out! You can actually purchase glasses that will keep you not blind.
