LG G6 leak shows round display corners, slim bezels

Mobile World Congress is quickly approaching, and with the big show comes device leaks. LG has had a pair of believable leaks lately: one for its upcoming smartwatch made in collaboration with Google and one for its flagship smartphone, the LG G6.

According to a report from The Verge, the above is a picture of the LG G6—at least, it’s a picture of the top half. In addition to the relatively slim bezels, the photo appears to show a display with round corners. This is a design touch we recently saw on the Xiaomi Mi Mix, which shaved a handful of pixels off the corners of the display in exchange for a unique look. Unlike the Mi Mix, this is still a traditional smartphone design, with an earpiece, camera, and the usual sensors on the top bezel.

Unlike the plastic-coated metal of the LG G5, The Verge describes the G6 as “made entirely out of glass and metal.” The site describes the bottom bezel as “only slightly taller than the top bezel” and promises the device will have a headphone jack and be water-resistant. The dual-camera system is apparently back, but as is the case on the LG V20, the G5’s modular system has been scrapped.
