
A team of scientists utilized a combination of space and ground-based telescopes, including NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, to identify a neutron star merger that created the second-brightest gamma-ray burst ever seen. The observation also helped scientists detect the chemical tellurium in the aftermath of the explosion.
