NASA utilized cameras on two separate lunar orbiters to produce a stunning image of the Moon’s darkened South Pole region. The mosaic was created using imagery from NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LROC) and NASA’s ShadowCam onboard the Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO).
