Company CEO Tim Cook <a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/tim_cook\/status\/1896589954517701057\"><ins>took to social media<\/ins><\/a> to post a tease-heavy video, along with the caption \u201cthis week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The video itself plays music as the text \u201cthere\u2019s something in the air\u201d crawls along the screen. Finally, a tell-tale ultra-thin swoosh interrupts the text. It\u2019s incredibly likely that the swoosh is being used to represent the forthcoming M4 MacBook Air. Apple <a data-i13n=\"cpos:4;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/macbook-air-m3-review-2024-13-15-inch-140053162.html\"><ins>introduced the M3 MacBook Air<\/ins><\/a> last March, so a yearly refresh is certainly in order. The M4 chip, on the other hand, just came to Mac computers a few months ago. It first <a data-i13n=\"cpos:5;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/ipad-pro-2024-review-so-very-nice-and-so-very-expensive-210012937.html\"><ins>showed up in the iPad Pro<\/ins><\/a> before <a data-i13n=\"cpos:6;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/computing\/the-imac-gets-an-m4-refresh-for-faster-apple-intelligence-151251449.html\"><ins>coming to the iMac<\/ins><\/a>, <a data-i13n=\"cpos:7;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/computing\/apples-redesigned-mac-mini-is-a-tiny-beast-with-m4-and-m4-pro-chips-150016484.html\"><ins>Mac mini<\/ins><\/a> and <a data-i13n=\"cpos:8;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/computing\/laptops\/apples-macbook-pros-get-an-m4-upgrade-including-the-new-m4-max-chip-150055208.html\"><ins>MacBook Pro<\/ins><\/a> in October.<\/p>\n<p>Could the &#8220;there&#8217;s something in the air&#8221; refer to a refresh of the iPad Air? Maybe, but probably not. A new design <a data-i13n=\"cpos:9;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engadget.com\/ipad-air-2024-review-of-course-this-is-the-ipad-to-get-210019225.html\">came out back in May<\/a>.
