Until recently, a Firefox FAQ promised that the browser maker never has and never will sell its users&#8217; personal data. An <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20250130114707\/https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/faq\/\">archived version<\/a> from January 30 says:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Does Firefox sell your personal data?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nope. Never have, never will. And we protect you from many of the advertisers who do. Firefox products are designed to protect your privacy. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20250130114707\/https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/privacy\/\">That&#8217;s a promise.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That promise is removed from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/faq\/\">current version<\/a>.
