Video platform YouTube may not seem like the most obvious choice for tuning in to an audio-driven format, but the company has actually become a major player for podcast consumption. Today, YouTube <a data-i13n=\"elm:context_link;elmt:doNotAffiliate;cpos:3;pos:1\" class=\"no-affiliate-link\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/news-and-events\/1-billion-monthly-podcast-users\/\" data-original-link=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/news-and-events\/1-billion-monthly-podcast-users\/\"><ins>announced<\/ins><\/a> that as of January 2025, it has surpassed 1 billion monthly active viewers of podcasts.<\/p>\n<p>People aren&#8217;t just playing YouTube podcasts to their headphones, either.
