This includes a Mozilla Leadership<br \/>\nCouncil made up of executives from each Mozilla organization, and new<br \/>\nboard chairs for the not-for-profit <a href=\"https:\/\/foundation.mozilla.org\/\">Mozilla Foundation<\/a>, the<br \/>\nMozilla Corporation, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.ai\/\">Mozilla.ai<\/a>. The announcement also<br \/>\nindicates a desire to further &#8220;<q>diversify<\/q>&#8221; Mozilla&#8217;s focus:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq\"><p>\nWe&#8217;ve recognized that Mozilla faces major headwinds in terms of both<br \/>\nfinancial growth and mission impact. While Firefox remains the core of<br \/>\nwhat we do, we also need to take steps to diversify: investing in<br \/>\nprivacy-respecting advertising to grow new revenue in the near term;<br \/>\ndeveloping trustworthy, open source AI to ensure technical and product<br \/>\nrelevance in the mid term; and creating online fundraising campaigns<br \/>\nthat will draw a bigger circle of supporters over the long<br \/>\nrun. Mozilla&#8217;s impact and survival depend on us simultaneously<br \/>\nstrengthening Firefox AND finding new sources of revenue AND<br \/>\nmanifesting our mission in fresh ways.
