Bryce<br \/>\nwrote that the OpenInfra board has carefully evaluated its options,<br \/>\nand sees joining the Linux Foundation as the best way forward.<\/p>\n<p>Like the Linux Foundation, the OpenInfra Foundation is 501(c)(6)<br \/>\nnonprofit. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/board.openinfra.org\/strategic-consideration\/faq\">FAQ<\/a>,<br \/>\nOpenInfra &#8220;<q>is in great health, financially and otherwise<\/q>&#8221; with<br \/>\na growth in membership of about 15% in the last year. However, its<br \/>\nneeds in 2025 are different than when it was founded as the OpenStack<br \/>\nFoundation in 2012.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq\"><p>\nWhile the opportunities ahead for open source to make a positive<br \/>\nimpact on the world are greater than they have ever been, the<br \/>\nchallenges are more significant as well, particularly with respect to<br \/>\nregulations, licensing and geopolitical tensions that threaten global<br \/>\ncollaboration.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The meetings will be held on February\u00a011 and February\u00a013 as<br \/>\nZoom calls.
