Gone was all the content AlphV had posted to the site previously.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image shortcode-img center large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.arstechnica.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/seized.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.prime-wow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/seized-640x418-1.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\" style=\"font-size:0.8em\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.arstechnica.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/seized.jpg\" class=\"caption-link\" rel=\"nofollow\" \/> <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Around the same time, the Justice Department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/justice-department-disrupts-prolific-alphvblackcat-ransomware-variant\">said<\/a> it had disrupted AlphV\u2019s operations by releasing a software tool that would allow roughly 500 AlphV victims to restore their systems and data.
