Linux has <a href=\"https:\/\/lwn.net\/Articles\/834289\/\">supported MTE<\/a> since the 5.10 release in 2020,<br \/>\nbut that support has only now shown up (in experimental form) in an<br \/>\navailable handset.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq\"><p>\n\tI think this is a huge improvement for the general security of the<br \/>\n\tdevice &#8211; many zero-click attack surfaces involve large amounts of<br \/>\n\tunsafe C\/C++ code, whether that&#8217;s WebRTC for calling, or one of the<br \/>\n\tmany media or image file parsing libraries.
