Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. is setting the record straight. After Variety<\/em> reported earlier this week that an AI-generated track echoing the voices of Drake and The Weeknd could be considered for a Grammy Award in songwriting categories, Mason is insisting that\u2019s not the case<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In an interview with The New York Times<\/em> only last week, Mason suggested the track would be \u201cabsolutely eligible\u201d as the lyrics a human made the lyrics. On Instagram, the Recording Academy CEO has now clarified that the song will not be eligible.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though it was written by a human creator, the vocals were not legally obtained, the vocals were not cleared by the label or the artists and the song is not commercially available and because of that, it\u2019s not eligible,\u201d he said. Sorry robots.<\/p>\n

Uber could launch a service similar to TaskRabbit<\/a><\/h2>\n

According to Bloomberg<\/em>, Uber is exploring offering a new TaskRabbit-like service. Developer Steve Moser found code hidden in Uber\u2019s iPhone app for an offering reportedly codenamed Chore. Based on its current iteration, Chore will let you hire \u201ctaskers\u201d and specify in the app what you need help with, how long you think it would take and what time you want the tasker to arrive. It\u2019s all pretty similar to TaskRabbit. Like any other unconfirmed feature still in development, Chore may not even make it to public release. If it does, it\u2019ll be a huge new undertaking for Uber.<\/p>\n
