Linux had some support for HSM in the XFS<br \/>\nfilesystem&#8217;s implementation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/DMAPI\">data management API<\/a> (DMAPI),<br \/>\nbut that code was <a href=\"https:\/\/git.kernel.org\/pub\/scm\/linux\/kernel\/git\/torvalds\/linux.git\/commit\/?id=288699fecaffa1ef8f75f92020cbb593a772e487\">removed<\/a><br \/>\nback in\u00a02010.
