If you can&#8217;t find it, the Internet Archive\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.archive.org\/2023\/01\/29\/a-calculated-move-calculators-now-emulated-at-internet-archive\/\"><ins>latest project<\/ins><\/a> is here to help (via <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gadgets\/2023\/01\/count-on-old-school-fun-with-these-new-calculator-emulations\/\"><em><ins>Ars Technica<\/ins><\/em><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>With the help of the team behind the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mamedev.org\/index.php\"><ins>Multi-purpose Emulation Framework<\/ins><\/a> (MAME), a project that has spent the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mamedev.org\/history.html\"><ins>past 25 years<\/ins><\/a> creating software that can emulate all sorts of gadgets, the archive now offers emulated versions of some of the most popular calculators of the past few decades. In all, <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.org\/details\/calculatordrawer\"><ins>The Calculator Drawer<\/ins><\/a> features 14 different models for Internet Archive visitors to noodle around, including the venerable Texas Instruments TI-81 from 1990.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"end-legacy-contents\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Not every calculator of note from the past 25 years is part of the collection. For instance, you won\u2019t find the Casio fx-7000g, the world\u2019s first graphing calculator, on the list, but if you used a Texas Instruments or HP model back in school, there\u2019s a good chance you\u2019ll find something that should feel familiar.
