It\u2019s easy to make BlenderBot turn against its creator, calling him \u201ccreepy\u201d or \u201cuntrustworthy\u201d or even saying he \u201cexploits people for money.\u201d But that\u2019s not precisely an indictment of BlenderBot or Zuckerberg.<\/p>\n

BlenderBot is a Meta AI experiment that\u2019s currently used for research purposes. A user spent some time chatting with BlenderBot, and he\u2019s gotten a variety of responses by asking for its opinions on Zuckerberg. One instance of the bot declared it was \u201cNot a fan of him or facebook. I find them unethical due to all the privacy issues they have had.\u201d<\/p>\n

A separate instance had a different and much more positive opinion, calling Zuckerberg a \u201cvery wealthy and successful guy. \u201c<\/p>\n

\u201cNo way!\u201d it told a user when asked if Zuckerberg should be president.<\/p>\n

One of BlenderBot\u2019s unique properties is the \u201cWhy this message\u201d function, which offers context to help answer that question. If you click on a given message, you can see any terms that BlenderBot searched to gather information about your query.<\/p>\n
